As long as you remember to update the backups!” Summer laughed a little. “I’m terrible at that; I end up with three copies, all from different dates, in four different locations. But since I’m kind of paranoid about losing the data, it’s okay. I know I’ll be able to recover most of it.”

     [    It is now all too apparent that the person with whom
          he is currently conversing is someone who is well
          versed in the category of technology. Maybe not
          the most capable individual in the store as people
          with massive amounts of knowledge regarding
          computers enter and exit the store on a daily basis,
          but someone who definitely knows what it is she is
          speaking of. He cannot help but feel grateful for
          her assistance as he is far from being able to qualify
          for the title of computer master or anything akin to
          that. To show his gratitude, he offers up a small yet
          still intentionally genuine smile to the helpful stranger.     ]

 I’ll remember to update. I don’t blame you. Protecting my files is why I’m here. 

“So what do you do for a living?” she asked curiously, browsing through the usb sticks and micro-sd cards with a gentle touch. It seems a little odd to her that he wouldn’t know some of these things, but then she’s constantly having to remind herself that most people simply don’t explore as deeply into computers as she does. He’s obviously old enough to be her dad, after all, and her dad is unique among the species.
