Looking up from abused pavement, green eyes flitted about trying to place the familiar voice, catching sight of red hair and eyes that hit his heart like a syringe of adrenaline.
“Oh, gods and monsters, it’s been too long.”
He teleported to her side, wrapping her in an iron embrace and kissing her full on the mouth, glowing.
“Monsters?!” She started to exclaim, somewhat indignantly, but her mouth was abruptly stopped. When he finally let her go she was totally breathless, slightly flushed, and had utterly forgotten what she’d been saying. She barely remembered she was annoyed with him. “Oh, Gabriel … ” The gas pump clicked, and she twisted in his arms. “Oh, yeah.”
