“That’s why you’re constantly in pain?” Her immediate instinct, now that she knows, is to block it. Not, block it out from her mind, but block it out of his. She even starts to reach for him, to do it, without asking, but jerks her hand back. “Uh, what’s it like for the other person? Is it like, ‘wait I don’t want to be doing this why am I not in control of myself’, or is it more like ‘yes this is the thing to do and I like doing the thing’?”
“Yeah. You kind of get used to it though, that is, unless I lose control. I doubt that’s gonna happen in a normal situation, though.” Stiles says this casually as if pain meant nothing to him. Of course, that definitely wasn’t true, but regardless. “The person doesn’t remember anything. They look at the place they’re standing in in confusion because they don’t remember how they got there.”
“What about while it’s happening, though? I mean, are they fighting you from the inside, or what?” Summer abruptly rolls over, looking at him. “I think you should use it on me. I want to know what it’s like.”
