Derek was a little startled at the sudden hug and rush of emotion, though he caught her and tentatively patted her back soothingly, still a tad bit stunned at the force of her gratitude but glad he could help and make someone feel so thankful.
After a moment of hesitation and glancing over her shoulder at the kitchen to Derek, Summer inched over and tucked herself under Isaac’s arm. Balancing a book and a sheet of paper on her knee, she wrote, ‘tell me about you. are you like him? he is a very big wolf’
Derek was cooking away for them, making a simple Italian chicken breasts for them, side of pasta and salad. Simple and rare that someone didn’t like it. Though if she didn’t like it, he’d make her something else. He just didn’t know what yet.
Isaac read the note and chuckled a bit. “I’m similar to him, though I’m not as large. I may still be growing though. In my wolf form I mean. I’m already taller than everyone in the pack,” he explained as they sat close on the couch.
‘you are very tall. does everyone in pack turn into wolf?’ She looked him over, the way his legs stretched out across the floor while her feet dangled. Derek’s wolf was black like his hair; was Isaac’s wolf dark blond like his? The stuff in the kitchen smelled really good, too.
