Disregarding the truly terrible job of wrapping (why he hadn’t just put it in an envelope, she didn’t know), she ripped the paper off and discarded it for Helios to find. When her eyes fell on the necklace, she sucked in a delighted breath. “Oh, Isaac.” Gently she brushed her fingertip over the metal, before holding it out to him. “Put it on me?”
A faint blush stained across his cheeks and he looked pleased that she appeared to like this gift, even if it wasn’t homemade. Nodding, he took the necklace from her outstretched fingers, before gesturing for her to turn around, pressing a kiss to her neck as he fastened the necklace around her. “How does it feel?”
“Cold,” she laughed, even as the metal warmed up to her skin. “It’s fine, love.” She pulled her hair over one shoulder, piling it up in her lap, and looked back at him over the other shoulder. “Happy Christmas.”
