The bartender raised an eyebrow at the girl as she set a box on the counter of his bar. “You’re that Summer girl, right?” he asked absently, and then nodded as he stepped away to find his employer. Several minutes later, he returned, “Vex’ll be out momentarily.”
And several moments later, the Mesmer appeared, walking over to where Summer stood at the bar. He was dressed in his finest. “‘Ello, Precious,” he greeted, “Ya called?”

Vex was glad that she hadn’t teased him this time, because in all honesty the teasing tended to make him not want to say it anymore. Still, between her light kisses and happy words, he was left feeling utterly content as his lips meshed with hers. A sense of peace washed over the Dark Fae that he usually couldn’t find, and he relaxed even more, a purr rumbling in his throat as he turned his head to nuzzle into her neck.
The nuzzling made her squeak, “Your nose is cold!” Summer giggled softly, combing fingers through his hair. “Are you turning into a cat? Do you have a secret ability?” Squirming away a little, she kissed his nose, eyes crinkled with her laughter. “You would make a very handsome cat.”
“Sorry, love,” the Mesmer laughed, hugging her tightly. Her fingers running through his hair continued to calm him, adding to the perfection that this day seemed to hold. “And no, I’m not turning into a bloody feline,” he told her, nose scrunched up at the thought, “But thank you.. I think.” He laughed again, and then leaned up so that he could leave another playful kiss on her lips.
Into the kiss she murmured, “I am offended on my cats’ behalf. Bloody, indeed,” and then shifted a little to deepen the kiss. Not with any real thought of inciting more passion, but just … because. Because kissing Vex was lovely, and she wanted to kiss him deeper until he was all she could taste. She made another sound of deep contentment, shifting a little more.
