I think I was about 13 when I finally realised what was going on. It was more than a little frightening, let me tell you! The fire part didn’t come in until I was older than you are now, but suffering puberty with all your classmates literally is … pretty horrible by itself. I mean, who wants to hang out with the girl who knows you’re lying to her?
