“It’s nice to meet you too, Dr Banner.” Summer offered a swift handshake and a smile. “I guess someone told you I was coming, huh?” Already she could sense he was vaguely annoyed. Great. And there was that deep well of banked anger, although it was nowhere near as close to the surface as she’d been told.
“Well, I’m ready to get to work. What do you need?”
“Agent Hill gave me the head’s up the day before yesterday.” He stepped to the side, allowing her entrance into the lab and closed the door with a soft click behind her. Eyes scanning the lab briefly before settling on her, he crossed his arms over his chest in thought.
“Hmm.” He gestured over toward where a computer was running through some tests and if he remembered correctly the results would be completed soon. “Have you done work in physics before? I need the results of the test running here organized when it completes. If you haven’t, I can just give you the basic gist of it.”
“Actually, I haven’t, but I pick up things quickly, so it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll never be on /your/ level, obviously, but I expect I can come to grips with the basics in short order.” Summer went over to the computer and peered at the screen for a moment before kneeling down to get a good look at the box. “You need to clean this poor machine, Doctor.” She grinned up at him.
