Summer broke up into giggles at the look on Adeva’s face. “Well, I suppose I could give you a curtain around it …”
She rolled her eyes,”Nah you think.” She muttered putting her hands on her hips,”I’m hungry I’m cooking lead the way to the kitchen.”
“This is gonna be me cleaning it up, I can tell. Don’t give the furballs human food.” Summer turned Deva around and pointed her down the little hallway into the kitchen. “Have fun.”
She snickered as she walked down the hallway, ”I’m not always messy.”
“Cooking is invariably messy! Pots, pans, plates, empty cans — thieving cats!” Summer scooped up the little tortoiseshell and kissed her nose. “Isn’t that right, Doc? Yes, thief.”
She snorted from the kitchen, ”You just don’t know how to cook right sweetface,” She yelled as she watched her steak and eggs. Before putting it on a plate and putting it aside to wash the dishes.
“I will not argue with that. Is that why you adopted me, Deva darling? Because you pitied me my horrible cooking skills?” Picking up the skillet, she put it in the dishwasher, already half-full. “Drinks in the fridge.”
