She had a blank expression, ”Tickle me and I will shoot you in the foot, I’m technically 21 jesus.”
Summer kissed Deva on the cheek. “Thank you. You’ve to go out tonight, yes? I know you’re careful. Come get me if you need me.” She put a palm over Deva’s heart. “I’ll be listening for you.”
She smiled softly and kissed Summer’s cheek, ”I know doll, I’ll try not to track blood anywhere,” She said snickering.
“That’s what carpet cleaner is for. Maybe I’ll just install one of those beach-side type showers on the fire escape, hey?”
“Oh great idea, everyone can watch me wash the blood off my naked body,” She said with a bored face.
Summer broke up into giggles at the look on Adeva’s face. “Well, I suppose I could give you a curtain around it …”
She rolled her eyes,”Nah you think.” She muttered putting her hands on her hips,”I’m hungry I’m cooking lead the way to the kitchen.”
“This is gonna be me cleaning it up, I can tell. Don’t give the furballs human food.” Summer turned Deva around and pointed her down the little hallway into the kitchen. “Have fun.”
She snickered as she walked down the hallway, ”I’m not always messy.”
“Cooking is invariably messy! Pots, pans, plates, empty cans — thieving cats!” Summer scooped up the little tortoiseshell and kissed her nose. “Isn’t that right, Doc? Yes, thief.”
