Here’s the main problem with “trickle-down” economics.
It conveniently “forgets” that the people who catch the water first, whose cups are supposed to runneth over and “trickle-down”, have made it a point to drill a hole in those cups, run some plastic tubing from the bottom of those cups that lead down their sleeves, underneath their clothes, into a large industrial-strength garbage bag that is hidden in their shoes somewhere in another country where that water does not get taxed.
The only part that trickles down is when they laugh so hard their cup shakes off beads of condescension.
Of course, nowadays they don’t even bother to hide the plastic tubing under their clothes. We’re just supposed to not notice it, how dare we point it out.
In election years they often will trickle on your shoes and tell you it’s raining.
