“I know, dear, but you gave me the idea you wanted gentle.” He slipped a hand up her skirt as his other hand snaked behind her head, kissing her deeply. He groaned softly as he felt the heat through her panties. “Holding out on me.” He muttered it quickly against her lips, not willing to fully break the kiss. He did, though, to lay her down on the bed. He climbed over top of her and his eyes met hers as a palm ran up her stomach, groping one of her breasts a bit harder than he probably should.

“Not,” she tried to protest. His weight settled over her and she groaned, eyes flickering. “Robert … ” It came out in a gasp, fingernails clenching into the blanket. She could taste his desire in the front of her mind, overwhelming. “Not holding out … ” One hand lifted to the back of his neck, pulling him down.

He obliged without a thought, claiming her lips once more. He pushed her skirt up, laying against her fully now. He groaned as he felt the heat through his pants, rolling his hips against hers. God, the friction…these clothes were in the way. He pushed her hair away as he moved to kiss at her neck. “I hope you don’t mind…I’m not feeling patient enough for foreplay…” he muttered absently, doing anything and everything to make her ass ready as he was.

“This isn’t foreplay?” Summer blinked for a moment. Not that it mattered; everything he did felt so good. She hoped he didn’t mind her inexperience — or the way his touch blanked her mind of everything except soft moans and whimpers. She gripped onto his shoulders helplessly.

She ducked her head, trying to hide behind the fall of hair, but stepped in closer, resting against his bare chest. “What do you want me to do with you? What have you always imagined someone would do?”

He laughed a bit and wrapped his arms around her. “That question could get very scarey very fast.” His hands ran absently through her hair. “Besides…this is about making you happy. What do you want to do with me?”

“Everyone always says that. What if what I want is to make you happy? Nobody ever claims me for this kind of thing anyway.” She closed her eyes and buried her face against his skin.

“Well, we’re at an impasse then.” He smiled and lifted her chin, kissing her lightly. “Well, my dear, if happy is what you want to make me, then a day of sin and frivolity we shall have.” Honestly…he was happy just to have a sober distraction for once. His mock scholarly voice went away and he kissed both her cheeks. “Sound good?”

“I don’t think I have enough experience to answer that properly,” she mused, looking in his eyes. “I just want you. How about you? Something you want?” Now that she wasn’t trying to keep her mind off it, his hand on her leg made her thrill.

He smiled and laid her down gently. “We’ll play it by ear…” He leaned down to kiss her neck, just under her collar, his weight half-resting on her as he laced his hands in hers, ‘pinning’ them at the level of her head. “Just tell me if you get any ideas, or I do something you don’t like…”

“Yes, Robert.” She smiled back, soft and happy, tilting her chin up. She rubbed her thumbs against the back of his hands, letting shields down and listening to his emotions. “That’s awfully nice. I don’t … should I take my shirt off?”

He smiled, inwardly thinking how cute it was that she’d asked that. “If you like, dear.” He smiled and pushed up off of her before he let her hands go, slipping one hand up under her shirt slowly, very keen on seeing her reaction. He couldn’t help his smile though. She was so gorgeous. He wasn’t sure how he could have gotten her had he not been famous. But he wasn’t about to break the illusion by asking. He’d not been paying attention to his actions and found his hand traveling again down her thigh, then back up, teasingly close to the prize.

Summer shuddered under his hand, green eyes sliding closed. Carefully, she sat up, pulling her shirt off. Copper-red hair poured over one shoulder, pooling over his hands and her lap. “Turn-about’s fair play, isn’t it?” She slid her hands up his chest and over his shoulders, pulling him down into a more intense kiss. “I won’t break, Rob,” she whispered.

She ducked her head, trying to hide behind the fall of hair, but stepped in closer, resting against his bare chest. “What do you want me to do with you? What have you always imagined someone would do?”

He laughed as he took her up to the line. It wasn’t short by any means, but it wasn’t terribly long either. A little over five minutes wait and they were next in line. “Back or front, babe?” He looked around a bit. He’d not been on a coaster in a while. Thank god he was sober.

“Middle,” she said positively. “Near the front, though.” The seat was cold, and she wriggled a bit, trying to get comfortable in it. The attendant put the safety harness down over her, and she gripped on, rattling it, then reached for Robert’s hand. “Hope you don’t mind me shrieking!”

He chuckled and got in next to her, taking her hand once the restraints were down. “I’d be offended if you didn’t.” He wasn’t going to admit he was a bit scared of heights, mainly cause of the last time he was on a roller coaster he had been on some chemicals he probably shouldn’t have been. This should be alright though, everyone else would be screaming too right? The cars started to chug off. “You know, I’ve never ridden this one.”

Complacently, Summer told him, “New experiences are good for you. Here we go!” Slowly, slowly they crawled up the starting slope, the gears clanking and the engine grinding. A spectacular view presented itself as they crested the hill, just long enough to be appreciated, and then gravity took over and jerked them down to the first curve. Summer screamed delightedly, gripping tight to Robert’s hand and laughing at the wind in her face.

He smiled and hugged her close for a moment. “You know I’m a human being, right? Not some faerie tale prince or anything.” He smiled wider as he stepped back. “May have scored a princess though… Hey, we better get going. Losing time just standing here…”

Robert’s arm around her was really nice; it just didn’t last long enough. Summer let him lead her to the park, but wasn’t about to let him have the last word. “I know you have the opportunity to meet and work with some of the most beautiful women in the world. Be careful with those pretty words, prince charming, I’ll know if you lie!” Her tone was teasing, but the sentiment was serious. She didn’t say anything when he paid both their entrances, though.

Robert laughed a bit and shook his head. “I’ll keep that in mind, oh great seer,” he said with a mock bow. They got their tickets and walked into the park. “Rollercoasters first, right?” he asked with a grin, pointing to the the one that stuck up over the ‘skyline’ of the park. “How ‘bout that one?”

“If it’s the tallest, then let’s go!” Would the lines be long, in a place like this, open all the time and frequented by locals? Summer didn’t want to stand waiting; she wanted to be moving, doing things … not thinking. If she started thinking again she’d start doubting this again, and arguing with oneself was just exhausting.

Robert was friendly, she /knew/ she could trust him (for the moment), and — there was no ‘and’. Fine; live in the moment. She hooked her arm through his and leaned against his shoulder for a moment while they walked.

“Sounds like a plan.” He laughed a bit and started off with her at a rather quick pace. “And before you say anything, I’m paying for tickets. Got it?” After all, this is a date, right? No one said it was, but… He could hear children screaming in the distance. Good, they were closer than he thought. “You know, I forgot how much more fun vacations are when you’re with someone…”

“Excuse you? Just because you happen to be a famous person with money to burn does not mean you get to spend money on me!” She didn’t even bother to look at him to say it, towing him along, despite her shorter stature and stride. “Only dates get to spend money on me. Everyone else has to pitch in equally.”

He stopped moving for a moment, causing her to jerk a bit on his arm as he was planted firm where he was. “I was under the impression this was a date, dear,” he said simply, looking her dead in the eyes with that slight grin of his. “I mean, it’s cool if it’s not, but…” He shrugged a bit and raised an eyebrow at her. “You’re too cool to just let go like that.”

Summer let go of his hand, wheeling to face him, heedless of anyone around. Her face was burning. “Robert, are you — yes, of course you’re serious.” She stopped, at a loss for what else to say, and just looked, searching his face for some reason, some kind of sense. It felt … very strange, actually looking into the eyes of someone she liked quite a lot, had daydreamed about. Finally, she said, simply, “Thank you.”

Summer flushed. “Sez you,” she retorted. “I shriek with delight just fine on rides, thank you. Roller coasters first, please?” She pressed forward, pulling him with her. “Let’s make the most of our time in the park, and then we can walk on the beach after.”

“That’s for sure. Street vendors, cabbies … it’s all very different from what I’m used to. So they let you have vacation, huh? And you get here, and the first thing you do is get stuck with me.” Summer turned it into a joke, sticking her tongue out. “I suppose we’ll just have to make sure you have a good time. That is, if you want me?” She wasn’t even conscious of omitting the last word, too focussed on Robert’s face and on maintaining the good mood. Okay, so maybe she was still starstruck.

He laughed softly and shook his head. “If I didn’t I wouldn’t be here.” He just watched her for a moment. “I somehow find it hard to believe we could have a bad time together.” He saw the island’s dock. “Not too far a walk now. Too bad the park closes at sundown. We get about an hour at least.” He smiled as he pushed off the rail. “Just as well, though, it’s kind of hard to talk on rides.”

Summer flushed. “Sez you,” she retorted. “I shriek with delight just fine on rides, thank you. Roller coasters first, please?” She pressed forward, pulling him with her. “Let’s make the most of our time in the park, and then we can walk on the beach after.”

“What, you don’t trust me?” she teased finally, aiming a punch at his shoulder. “You want to pry into the dark secrets of my mind already? We’ve just met. I don’t want to scare you off.” She made the mistake of actually looking into his eyes, and had to remind herself to breathe. Remind herself to stay controlled.

He was an actor. He was famous, and a teen heartthrob. He probably had a girl somewhere already. He just wanted some company for the day; was being polite; would disappear after today.

He yelped, but laughed, rubbing his shoulder a bit. “Ow…” He was faking, but pouted for a moment all the same. “No, I didn’t mean to pry at all.” He got a bit more serious, but still smiled. “I just wanted to make sure you were really ok.” He looked out at the water for a moment. “…I doubt you could scare me away. There are roles I’ve played…Headspaces I don’t want to get back into. You seem far too happy to have anything nearly that bad going on in your brain.” Though…he knew that was often not the case. He pulled a smile. “You can talk to me about anything you want, you know. I’m dead serious.”

Summer decided to repay his sincerity. She leaned her back on the railing, elbows hooked over, and regarded him for a long moment. “I guess a lot of people don’t treat you as just a person, at that. An object, maybe, but little else.” She tucked a loose strand of copper hair behind one ear. “That’s pretty familiar to me. I’m … not the sort of person that gets noticed much. So I was just thinking how strange it was, that in a city the size of this one, someone would notice me at all, and that it would be someone I would daydream of noticing me.”

She looked away, purposely, and added, “I don’t mean that in a … sexual kind of way, exactly. But honestly, I’m trying to think,” she trailed off, trying to find the right words to articulate what was buzzing around in her mind. Empathy was no use here.

“I don’t see why you wouldn’t get noticed, dear. You’re quite beautiful,” he said as though it was as common knowledge as gravity. He looked down for a moment. “I’m…not so much an object as a showpiece. It’s nice, sometimes, though, since people change their expectations of you when you aren’t ‘human’ anymore.” It was barely contained sarcasm. He really didn’t want to get all depressing right now. First dates…was this a first date?…Well, whatever it was should be fun. A soft smile grew on his face as she continued to speak.

When she added the bit about ‘sexually’ he couldn’t help but laugh a bit. “It’s alright Summer. I know how strange it is to be around someone you never thought you’d get the chance to meet. I’ve been acting since I was five. I’ve met alot of crazy-famous people and have been starstruck more times than I could admit.” He grinned a bit. “Honestly, though…I’m glad I noticed you.”

Summer’s tone was wondering when she replied, “You’re not just saying that.” How in the world was this happening? She made a determined effort and said, “You asked, and I’ve answered, and now we know more about each other than we did.” Taking his hand and pulling it back around her shoulder, she added, “I’ll try to stop being starstruck now. I’m glad too, though. So, Robert, what brings you to New York City?”

“Well, honestly I’m on vacation.” He laughed a bit. “I don’t make it here very often, so it’s fun to explore.” He grinned as he reached out to take her hand again. “And the people here are always interesting.”
