He felt the familiar sting, the pain that accompanied a bullet piercing his body. Before the next shot could be fired, the man was dead and Pietro was looking back at Summer, “I told you not to follow,” he said as the blood started to fall down his body as he started to get woozy, using a nearby car to hold himself up. ”Are you ok?”
“Well I can’t handle your pain, okay?” She pulled the rags of his shirt off him and peered at the wound. “Hospital or SHIELD? I’m going with you.” There was a host of other things she wanted to say to him, starting with ‘you idiot’ and ending with ‘why can’t you just say you love me’, but all she allowed herself to say was, “I don’t like the way you’re bleeding.”
Pietro sighed. “How about neither one. I heal fine without help and I don’t much trust either one of those places,” he said, trying not to snap at her from the pain. Pietro let out a strained laugh as blood coughed up afterwards. “I don’t either. I like it better when I just don’t bleed.”
“That’s not one of the options. You’re going to get patched up somewhere. All you get to do is choose where. And if you keep arguing I will knock you out.”
Summer just rolled her eyes and shook her head slightly. “Well? Have you decided not to work me up to a fever pitch after all, in favour of this blanket and so much sex I can’t stand afterward?”
Pietro shrugged. “I don’t think I need to now, you agreed to what I wanted,” he said, running a hand down her face. “Well, that would be the idea, and maybe it’ll stop raining long enough for us to actually see the sky.”
She leaned into his hand, eyelashes fluttering, and smiled slowly. “So what are you waiting for?”
She grinned at him. “Only if you bring a blanket. And you’re going to owe me something hot to eat after.” She put her hand over his mouth. “Something that isn’t you.”
Pietro nodded, “Well, blanket it is. And I can get anything you want to eat afterwards. Though you know a lot of the time it’s hard to stand after being with me,” he said, grinning now.

“I can handle bullets!” she snapped. “Are you forgetting I’m not just an empath? There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Pietro.” She frowned and blocked his pain again. “I know you hate it when I’m in your mind but stop fighting me on this one,” she muttered.
Pietro shook his head. “I don’t care if you’re fucking bullet proof,” he said, ripping away his shirt to take a look at the bullet hole on his chest, “I’m not letting you get shot at while I can stop it.” He kept his mind running still, trying to keep her out somehow. “I can handle pain, Summer.”
“Well I can’t handle your pain, okay?” She pulled the rags of his shirt off him and peered at the wound. “Hospital or SHIELD? Her eyes rolled and she shuddered in his arms again as he bit her. “I came … I came down to get the mail,” she said, a bit breathlessly. “So you can just carry me right back up to my apartment.”
Pietro laughed a little. “That almost sounded like you said you came already and I haven’t even penetrated you yet,” he said, shaking his head now. “But we do it all the time in there. Wet, rainy, field or something?”
She grinned at him. “Only if you bring a blanket. And you’re going to owe me something hot to eat after.” She put her hand over his mouth. “Something that isn’t you.”

“You’ve been shot,” she said blankly. “Pietro. You’ve been shot!” She rushed over to him, putting a shoulder under his arm, and drew the pain away. “Like I was going to let you handle this alone.”
Pietro groaned in pain. “Yeah, well, if I didn’t get shot, you would have been dead. And yes you were. This is why I don’t tell anyone where I go on my jobs or anything,” he said, closing his eyes now. ”I need to get this thing out of me.”
“I can handle bullets!” she snapped. “Are you forgetting I’m not just an empath? There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Pietro.” She frowned and blocked his pain again. “I know you hate it when I’m in your mind but stop fighting me on this one,” she muttered.

“It’s not going to happen.” She locked her legs behind his back and leaned away to look at him. “I told you that nicely and you haven’t heard me. I’m not indulging you kink, Petya.”
Pietro sighed. “Yes, but you want it to happen,” he said, grinning and shaking his head. ”Fine…pick a place that we can fuck,” he said, biting down on her neck again.
Her eyes rolled and she shuddered in his arms again as he bit her. “I came … I came down to get the mail,” she said, a bit breathlessly. “So you can just carry me right back up to my apartment.”
Her voice was thick. “Not enough — god, Pietro — not enough to let you take me out here.” She turned her head to catch at his mouth, teeth digging into his lip. ”People are starting to stare,” she whispered.
Pietro grinned as he picked the smaller woman up, pinning her against the wall and pushing his hips into hers, vibrating still. ”People can watch all they like, I’m not going to stop until you’re begging me,” he said, moving his lips down to her neck, biting and sucking down on it.

Summer shuddered again and swallowed hard. “Are you just going to tease me with it, or are you going to satisfy both of us? Somewhere out of the rain?” she managed. She had to put her foot down, knees weakening, and cling to him again.
Pietro shrugged. “I don’t know,” he said, sliding a hand up between her legs and vibrating it again. “Just how wet and wanting are you? And well, I was thinking that. Like I said, we haven’t done it outside yet,” he said, still whispering in her ear.
