She smirked as she leaned forward touching her nose to Summer’s, ”In the words of my father, I do what I want.”
“And so do I.” Summer snapped her teeth at Deva. “C’mon, truce, sister?”
She laughed, ”Oh but what fun is a truce, we are the daughters of Loki, there is no fun in that.”
“Now, now, there’s mischief and then there’s malice. No malice, Deva. I’m serious.”
She rolled her eyes and put her plate in the sink, ”Yes mother.”
“When do I expect you back, mischief? By the way, if you’re going to be adopting me, you should tell Loki. Surprising the god of mischief my be … counter-indicated.”
Her eye twitched when she ruffled her hair, ”I am still tempted to shoot you in the foot,” She said taking another bite, ”Also don’t forget changing the shampoo with hair dye, lotion with Nair, the sugar with salt.” She ranted.
“Girl, you touch my shampoo and I will set you on fire.” Summer raised both eyebrows at Adeva. “You don’t touch my books or my hair stuff, I don’t touch your guns and knives.”

She smirked. ”No because you are far too cute and I want to keep you,” She said finishing the dishes and sitting on the counter eating her food, ”I have a feeling I’m going to love teasing you,” She mumbled with her mouth full.
“Oh, /I’m/ cute? Says the little assassin?” Summer ruffled Deva’s hair. She stole a piece of steak off Deva’s plate. “Teasing is what sisters are /for/. Also tormenting, harassing, stealing clothes from, tucking into bed, and worrying about.”

“I will not argue with that. Is that why you adopted me, Deva darling? Because you pitied me my horrible cooking skills?” Picking up the skillet, she put it in the dishwasher, already half-full. “Drinks in the fridge.”

She snickered as she walked down the hallway, ”I’m not always messy.”
“Cooking is invariably messy! Pots, pans, plates, empty cans — thieving cats!” Summer scooped up the little tortoiseshell and kissed her nose. “Isn’t that right, Doc? Yes, thief.”
She snorted from the kitchen, ”You just don’t know how to cook right sweetface,” She yelled as she watched her steak and eggs. Before putting it on a plate and putting it aside to wash the dishes.

Summer broke up into giggles at the look on Adeva’s face. “Well, I suppose I could give you a curtain around it …”
She rolled her eyes,”Nah you think.” She muttered putting her hands on her hips,”I’m hungry I’m cooking lead the way to the kitchen.”
“This is gonna be me cleaning it up, I can tell. Don’t give the furballs human food.” Summer turned Deva around and pointed her down the little hallway into the kitchen. “Have fun.”

She had a blank expression, ”Tickle me and I will shoot you in the foot, I’m technically 21 jesus.”
Summer kissed Deva on the cheek. “Thank you. You’ve to go out tonight, yes? I know you’re careful. Come get me if you need me.” She put a palm over Deva’s heart. “I’ll be listening for you.”
She smiled softly and kissed Summer’s cheek, ”I know doll, I’ll try not to track blood anywhere,” She said snickering.
“That’s what carpet cleaner is for. Maybe I’ll just install one of those beach-side type showers on the fire escape, hey?”
“Oh great idea, everyone can watch me wash the blood off my naked body,” She said with a bored face.

“You don’t get to choose if I protect you, either, Deva. Chiya.” Summer refused to flinch. “Or if I care about you, and how. You’re right, I can’t stop you going out and getting hurt. I can’t save you from yourself.” She sighed. “But I’ll not stop trying to help you any way I can.”
She sighed as she ran a hand through her candy red hair, ”I get to bring my snake or I don’t stay with you,” She muttered smirking before pulling the girl into a hug, ”You must be my sister if you are this stubborn.”
“Blame Loki,” Summer smiled into Deva’s shoulder. “Tell me what you need in your room, hon. And don’t think I’ve forgotten the way you ignored my question about your age, either, girl.”
She lifted her head and smirked, ”Don’t you know you’re not supposed to ask a lady her age, how rude,” She said in feigned sadness. ”And just the basics really, I can get everything else.”
Summer made a raspberry. “Sisters should know. I’ll leave the futon in there. Stop dodging the question, or I’ll tickle you.” She flicked her eyes side to side, then added, “Or sic Loki on you.”
She had a blank expression, ”Tickle me and I will shoot you in the foot, I’m technically 21 jesus.”
