Summer wishes she’d known that this episode was the start of the romantic subplot between Mamoru and Usagi — she feels weird now, inviting Stiles to watch that. Would she feel weird about it if he was just a friend to her? Maybe she should have done Doctor Who anyway, instead; there were no romantic subplots in that. She gets up to close the video program, and hesitates at the computer, before saying, over her shoulder, “So, um, what do you want to do now?”
Stiles is sort of paying attention to the program, but not because there’s romance, it’s because he doesn’t really understand. His mind is still absently swirling with the events from that day, something he prefers not to occur because he doesn’t necessarily want a headache. He was prone to headaches so easily, it was horrendous. The thing that brings him out of his thoughts is when the computer closes and he looks at her in confusion.
“Done already?”
She swings a foot at him. “You weren’t even paying attention! Aaaagh. What even are you thinking about?”
