“Don’t be, this’ll be lots of fun for us, not everyday one goes exploring.”
“Absolutely.” She turned swiftly, gave him a brilliant smile, and was off again, darting over to the stables, bright hair flaring out behind her. Without waiting for help, she swung up into the saddle.
Arthur chuckled and walked faster to make it to the stables. He followed after her and got up onto his horse, starting to lead away from the area. “So, ready for our adventure?”
“I was born ready, my lord!” Summer let Arthur take the lead, but kept close on his heels. The ride was nice, with the sun shining down warmly and the trees just beginning to turn. And, too, it was thrilling just to be out with Arthur, just the two of them.
“Don’t be, this’ll be lots of fun for us, not everyday one goes exploring.”
“Yes, very much, me and my sun. Already I’m sure I’m fading away. Come!”
“The sun isn’t going anywhere today,” he laughed, quickly following after her.
“A day only lasts but so long,” Summer shouted back, picking up her skirts so she could go down the stairs more swiftly. She burst out into the courtyard, face up into the sun, and stopped.
Arthur chucked, walking in a fast pace to catch up to Summer, swiftly making it down the steps and out to the courtyard. He had to stop suddenly when he saw Summer stopped and stood beside her. “Soaking up the sun?”
“Absolutely.” She turned swiftly, gave him a brilliant smile, and was off again, darting over to the stables, bright hair flaring out behind her. Without waiting for help, she swung up into the saddle.

“Yes, very much, me and my sun. Already I’m sure I’m fading away. Come!”
“The sun isn’t going anywhere today,” he laughed, quickly following after her.
“A day only lasts but so long,” Summer shouted back, picking up her skirts so she could go down the stairs more swiftly. She burst out into the courtyard, face up into the sun, and stopped.

“So long as you’re prepared to take him on. I’m not minded to be some false knight’s prisoner until some stronger knight defeats him and takes me captive instead.”
“I have no issues with doing that. Like I said, I don’t mind a good challenge. I wouldn’t let any harm come to you and we’ll gain safe passage.”
“So gallant!” she teased. “I feel safer already.” Swinging on the doorhandle, she bent a merry gaze on him. “So, then, let’s go. The sunlight is calling me!”
“Well I do try to be a noble knight, seeing as I am one. So long as there’s just the one, we’ll all be fine.” He joked and chuckled, shaking his head. “You and your sun.”

“Well, there is a tale I’ve been hearing quite a lot recently in the lower town … someone has set up at one of the bridges, claiming to be a knight and challenging all comers. They say he makes prisoners of those who refuse, those who fall to him, and ladies travelling without protection.”
“Really? Sounds like quite the tale and if it is a challenge… who are we to say no right? I always like a good challenge and if he is challenging those to fight him then I say we should give this knight a challenge one should never forget.”

“Indeed. Are we exploring to any purpose, sire, or just for the sake of wandering?”
“I am not sure yet. I feel that we do need something to be of a purpose in case someone asks what we are up to.”
