So now NCSoft closing City of Heroes is a race thing and “proof that this Asian company hates white people and probably thinks they’re dirty” and I am so done.
Like, I care about City of Heroes more than any other game in my life, but hearing arguments like that is speeding up my sense of closure on this hella quick.
Personally I haven’t heard statements like that, but I’m sorry to hear. I don’t think that was an OK thing to say at all.
It’s alright to criticize the cultural differences such as in business practices. In fact, I heard that from several people who were indeed all from east Asia. They complained about the relative lack of good PR and customer relations. That’s another story though, but also an example of something that’s not flat-out racist.
Racist remarks are unnecessary and destructive. Let’s keep this civil. I understand that we’re all mad, hell, I am too, but sayings like that is going to make us lose support.
I honestly hope and believe that no one trying to save CoH truly feels like that, but was just said in rage. Being mad is ok, but people shouldn’t let it out through distasteful and oppressive statements…

Seriously, you should all be members of the CoHTitan forums by now and part of the cause to not only save the game, but apply more pressure on NCsoft. This statement they issued is completely meaningless. It’s the PR department’s way of trying to mitigate the damage we’ve done to their reputation so far and we’ve barely begun.

AND LET’S NOT FORGET, NCsoft is the company that thought NOTHING of forging a letter of resignation for Richard Garriott over Tabula Rasa. Who seemed to think that forgery was a perfectly reasonable business practice????
