Vex let out a choked sound, not sure how to really respond to Summer’s words. They weren’t close, barely knew each other, and who in their right bloody mind would trust somebody in that regard when they’d only just met? Snickering slightly, he purred the words, “Never woulda expected to ‘ear that from a pretty thing like you.”
“Possibly,” she said slowly, teasingly. She rolled toward him, looking up through her eyelashes. “I’ve never actually played with blades. I don’t like pain, not that kind of pain.” She pressed up to him and wriggled a bit, trying to reach his mouth. “Maybe we can try it, in a little while,” she murmured.
Vex’s tongue ran absently over his lips at her teasing, his mind twisting the idea in several dark ways. Wrapping an arm around her, the other keeping her hands from being able to move too much, Vex let her get closer to him. Brushing his lips to hers as he spoke, he replied in a soft drawl, “Trust me, crumpet, I could make you like it.” He kissed her harshly, for a moment, and then moved his lips along her jaw, to her throat. His teeth grazed her skin as he commented, “Though I s’ppose we’ll ‘ave to wait n’ see.” With that, he bit into her neck once again, this time hard enough to leave bruising teeth-marks.
“I thought your abilities were limited to th—” In the middle of her sentence he bit down on her throat, and it /hurt/, sharp and vivid and dropping a rush of adrenaline into her bloodstream. She whimpered, head bowing back to bare more of her throat to him. Summer gasped out, “Oh god Vex.” She couldn’t quite help the squirm of her hips against him, either.
