Plot # 39: Shift (concept submitted by ladylos)
While driving home on a quiet backstreet, Muse A spots a wounded animal on the side of the road. Having a soft spot for suffering creatures, Muse A pulls over and scoops the animal up into the backseat of their car. Muse A drives home with the good intention of nursing the poor animal back to health, unaware that the animal (Muse B) is really a shapeshifter. After making a comfortable place for Muse B to sleep, Muse A heads off to bed. By morning, Muse B is feeling a bit better and they shift back into their human form just as Muse A enters the room to check up on them. Muse B tries their best to explain what’s going on without terrifying Muse A. According to shapeshifter law, Muse B now owes Muse A their loyalty and must stay with them until the debt is repaid.

Plot # 51: Semester Abroad
Muse A has been studying abroad for their last semester of college and it’s finally the second to last day before everyone flies back home for graduation. Muse A meets up with a group of classmates for drinks before everyone must pack up and return to the states. While out at a bar/party, Muse A encounters Muse B, a charming local. Muse A and Muse B feel an instant chemistry between them. They talk for hours, even long after the rest of Muse A‘s classmates have moved on to another location. Though Muse A is leaving in 24 hours, Muse B promises to show Muse A a time they will never forget if they spend the following day with them. Thinking it might be exhilarating to soak in the foreign city with an attractive native, Muse A agrees to spend the entire day with Muse B before they have to depart. The next day, Muse B is true to their word and shows Muse A an amazing time. Feelings blossom quickly. When the sun sets, neither one wants to part from the other, so they spend the night together too, eventually falling asleep in each other’s arms. On the morning of Muse A‘s flight home, Muse A realizes that they’re not ready to leave yet. Despite the inevitable backlash they’ll face from their parents for blowing off graduation and the possibility that the spark between Muse A and Muse B will fizzle over time, Muse A purposely miss their flight to take a chance on a summer romance with Muse B.
Arranged Marriage AUMuse A is part of a high class society— where money, names, and marrying within your status means everything. Muse B works for a rich man— a man who for reasons unbenowst to Muse B, took interest in him since he was a boy.
After Muse A’s father dies, her family is overwhelmed with debts that he had been hiding from his family. At the same time, Muse B’s boss is dying…on his deathbed, and with Muse B by his side, he makes one final confession. Muse B is his bastard son…and the one true heir to all that he was leaving behind. Muse B is devastated and at first denies this— that his own father would deny him the love he deserved for so long and have him work on his ranch— but soon accepts the reality, when the final testament confirms his true lineage.
Meanwhile, Muse A’s mother hears of Muse B‘s newfound status and inheritance, so she comes up with a plan. She introduced both Muse A to Muse B, with hopes that Muse B would fall for her daughter. Muse A’s mother encourages her to do whatever it took to make him fall in love…she needed to make the sacrifice for her family.
Much wooing later, Muse B comes to an agreement with Muse A’s mother— an agreement that Muse A does not know of. He’d take her daughter’s hand in marriage and in return would save the family from bankruptcy and ultimately, their family name.
Muse B proposes and Muse A has no choice but to accept because she doesn’t want to go against her mother’s wishes. They go ahead with the wedding— nothing big since Muse A isn’t really in love with him.
Muse B keeps his end of the deal and vows to keep the arrangement a secret since he cared very much about Muse A. She reluctantly moves into his new house and learns of the arrangement— she sees him as a monster for forcing her to marry him without love. Muse B fights to win her true affection over and to prove to her that he is not the monster she makes him out to be. Some time together and Muse A starts to develop feelings for him.

dude, what if a prince is cursed to be a dragon but instead of being upset by it, they’re like ‘hell yeah i’m a dragon’ and they spend weeks finding the perfect decrepit castle to haunt and try to convince their fiancé to be a princess in the tower ‘just for like a week’ and everyone is like ‘we can break the fucking curse’ and the prince is like ‘but i’m a dragon.’
fallen angel auYou’re wandering. Without reason, without purpose, simply… wandering. It’s night. The air is cool and the sky is dark, but you like it like that. It’s peaceful, freeing. But the air grows colder, colder, colder, and light appears in the sky. You look up, and it appears as if it’s falling. As if the sky is breaking apart and fear grips your heart for what is happening?
The light is blinding and you close your eyes, for should the light become too bright you fear you may go blind. And then, the Earth shakes. It shakes and shakes until you fall to you knees and then… nothing.
You open your eyes, and you rise to your feet but you freeze for before you lies a figure, naked and bleeding and you step closer, closer, but the figure doesn’t move. You near it quickly, for whomever it may be, it is certainly hurt. Your hands grip pale flesh and you shake them, words falling from your lips in cautious concern and it’s then that you notice.
It’s back is bleeding, raw red slits carved in to otherwise smooth skin and all around, everywhere, in the trees and scattered across the floor… feathers. Some are white, pure as newly fallen snow. Others are black, as black as the night sky. You sit back, the figure moves, and your hands begin to shake.
It opens it’s eyes, a brilliant hue the likes of which you’ve never seen before boring in to your own startled gaze and you know you will never get those eyes out of your head so long as you should live. And you know what it is but you cannot speak it’s name but you know that it’s scared, that it’s frightened and you don’t know what to do.
What do you do?
