Summer shoved herself up on the couch so she was more sitting than lying down. Smiling gently, she tucked his hair behind his ear, running her fingers through it. “Just … let me touch you,” she whispered. She ran the tip of one finger over the lines in his forehead, traced the centre of his nose and along his cheekbones, tweaking one earlobe along the way.

“Something about you makes me think we were meant to meet.”

Her fingers running through his hair felt heavenly and he couldn’t help the moan from escaping his lips again. At her words he forced himself to be still, allowing her to do what she wanted. He even smiled a bit when she tweaked his earlobe. Victor closed his eyes lazily and let out a sigh as his whole body seemed to relax. He agreed with Summer when she said she thought they were meant to meet, for some reason he trusted her. He trusted her completely, enough to let his guard down.

“Something tells me you’re right, love.”

She went back to his hair, carding her fingers through it, scraping at his scalp a little. “I think you have better hair than I do, Victor darling.” Summer gave a little chuckle. “You know two of my not-so-secret secrets, I think I had better ask for one of yours in exchange. Tell me about you, beautiful mysterious vampire Victor.” Summer kissed his temple, hands still in his hair.
