Escaping from her family and the chaos of a Rainault Christmas, Summer slipped into her bedroom — well, the bedroom that had used to be hers — and dialled Tony’s number on her cell phone. Hopefully, he’d hear it, and answer, because she really just needed to talk to someone who wasn’t a member of her family and didn’t have the same ground-in attitudes.

The part where she couldn’t hear the opposing emotions from him echoing inside her head helped too.

Anthony yelled something at his older counterpart that sounded a lot like ‘suck my dick, jackass!’ before he picked up the phone with a slight bite to his voice. “Hello?” The teen echoed over the line, giving Tony the bird as he passed, and trying to calm his emotions. “Sorry if that had a slight bite, hello, who am I speaking to?”

Summer chortled under her breath, flopping down onto her bed and arranging herself comfortably to use the speaker. “Tony, it’s Summer. Who are you talking to?”
