“I’d apologise for my state of dress, but I wasn’t sure after all that you would come.” Summer closed the door gently. “Helios won’t bother your hat.” Stepping closer, she looked up, into his eyes. Dark, and warm. Almost familiar. One hand smoothed down his shoulder, a secret smile forming on her lips. “Well, well. Hello, Oscar Diggs.”
It was happening again, and he was damned proud of it. The way her eyes met his, no love and only lust in his eyes. He smirked. “Hello, darling. What made you think I’d not show up?” he questioned, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
A shrug, rippling the hair falling over her shoulder. “It’s easier to play the game when it’s only words. You seemed more interested in Tony than me, and that’s as it should be.” Something painful flickered in her eyes and was gone. “But you’re here now.”
