She made a pleased sound of agreement. “School’s almost over for the year. It’ll be fine.”
“I can’t wait to spend the whole summer with you.” He hummed with a dreamy little smile, shifting against her and settling down comfortably. “But when it’s the Full Moon, I promise to run off into the woods to keep you safe.”
Summer rolled her eyes. “What if I want to run off with you? You won’t eat me. Some of the /others/ might eat me, I’m still dubious about your blue-eyed buddy, but you won’t eat me.” She kissed at his ear and whispered, “I believe in you.”
