Summer sniffed and curled up in a small ball as far away from him as she could get. She slid easily into sleep, but as the night passed the air chilled, and she began to shiver, curling up even tighter.
Sighing despondently, he drifted off into an uneasy, restless sleep, before awakening a short time later as he felt her shift beside him. Noting the violent tremors and her current position, Sir Isaac winced and hoped that she wouldn’t attack him for what he was about to do. He scooted forwards and wrapped his arms around her, trying to keep her warm.
She didn’t waken, but relaxed, and snuggled closer to him. “Isaac,” she murmured in her sleep, yearningly. “Don’t leave me.” With a sigh, and a little shudder, she relaxed further.
