She just hummed archly, a soft smile on her lips. And then they broke out of the dense forest and undergrowth to a wide dell, dotted with a few huge trees casting shade, and she sat up straight with a gasp of delight. “Oh, Isaac!”
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” he stated softly, eyes softening as he gazed down at her, arms looping around her waist to continue lazily rubbing at her hips. “And a little further in, if you want to go and take a look, there’s a little waterfall, and in all my years of coming here, I’ve never yet stumbled across another person. I thought that we could perhaps go swimming?”
Buttons was clearly familiar with the place, stopping underneath the largest of the trees and tugging down against the reins. Summer laughed, twisting to look all around before looking back at Isaac. “I don’t know how to swim,” she confessed, abashed. She waited for him to dismount before putting her hands out to catch at his shoulders and be lifted down.
