She wasn’t sure how long they sat there, occasionally feeding each other bits of bread or fruit or whatever. The sun’s rays grew longer as the day slid toward evening, and the air cooled. They helped each other dress again, and held hands while they wandered the pocket valley.

Some time later, he was pleasantly full and relaxed, and it seemed only right to get dressed. Leaving Buttons where he was, he got him some water and fed him, before turning to slip his hand into Summer’s, walking with her through the woods. “It’s so romantic here.”

She leaned her head on his shoulder, laughing. “I guess you would know, since this is your secret place. I want to see the waterfall.”
