It was perhaps fortunate that castlefolk were scattered throughout the town and surrounding lands to assist precisely the sort of lost folk Isaac was. One of them, a young blond man, approached Isaac, telling the knight his name was Garrett and offering to guide him to the registrar.
Isaac eyed the unfamiliar face with a wary eye, before he nodded and smiled politely. After introducing himself in return, he followed after him, immediately ensuring that no curls had escaped his visor; for although his hairstyle was quite a common one, not very many Knights, and certainly none with links the the newly discovered Princess had it.
Garrett guided Isaac through the maze of camps and pavilions, pointing out and identifying various important folk, as well as the tournament locations such as the jousting field and archery range, as well as the field where bonfires would be placed in the evenings. It was Prince Edward’s conceit to hold a great feast out-of-doors at least once during the tournament, despite the cold of winter.
The pair fetched up finally at the registrar, where Isaac was asked to provide his identity and indicate which portions of the tournament he intended to participate in, as well as if he intended to attempt the Princess’ Task.
