Summer’s mouth twisted. The same. Always the same, always people complained of being read the most when they were most transparent. She pressed her lips together briefly, then said, “I was looking for a ship. And a ship’s captain.”
“And for what exactly you need a ship, my ship?” it seemed like the mysterious woman was testing the captain’s patience. A foolish thing to do, because Killian didn’t have his best days anyway.
“I’m looking for someone to take me to Avalon.” Let him figure out from there why it was /his/ ship. He didn’t look stupid; it shouldn’t be hard. And maybe the fact that she was looking for him, for his ship, would smooth some of those prickles.
