“That’ll be all, JARVIS.”
Tony took all the information in, storing it away. He focused, though, on the fact that SHIELD had her listed as a mutant. ”An empath, huh? Makes sense…” he murmured, referring to how she’d helped him earlier. “Cool,” he said genuinely interested.
Having no real powers of his own, unless one counted his intelligence, he was immensely interested in those who did. “Is it terribly impolite to ask you about that? Or, well, maybe I should let you have your chance to find out about me to even things up.”
“I don’t mind,” Summer responded, shaking her head. “Most people are scared of me when they find out. They figure it’s like telepathy, that I can know everything. Is the Mongolian place much farther? My stomach is starting to make unhappy noises.” She fished a stray strand of hair out of her mouth where the wind had blown in, watching him drive.
“I can see people mistaking the two… It’s unfortunate, but most people are not all that well informed. We’re close now, yeah. Few more minutes away,” he said, noting the lack of traffic on the road. “Anything in particular you wanted to know about me?” He asked, prodding a little.
She tipped her head to the side, considering him. “You let me just jump into the middle of your life and rummage around. You said you liked that I’m honest, but when I tell the truth about myself, you correct me — and you believe it.” Her expression fell into pensive lines. “Why?”
