She laughed at him, pulling him to the dining room. “Does that mean you are going to let your manservant throw me out?”
“Not at all — in fact, I give you permission to throw him out. He should know better than to treat any guest of mine like that.” He glowered at the doorway, before staggering after her and smiling at her infectious laughter.
“Oh, no, no, that wouldn’t be a good idea at all — he already doesn’t approve of me.” She stopped dead in the doorway, breathing in, and closed her eyes. “Ohhhh. You must keep him. This is — this is amazing.” There was more food there than she had seen at one time outside of harvest feasts or other celebrations.
