“Awkwardness,” she snickered. “You’re never awkward.” Burying her face into his shoulder, she muttered, “I think I fell for you the moment I saw you following Helios. I just tried to ignore it.”
“You missed out on my early teenage years, lucky you.” He grinned and pressed his face into her hair, smiling at her following words. “Yeah? It’s not like I had much of a choice – your damn cat is so bossy.”
“Were you all legs back then too?” she inquired, dodging the topic of just how bossy Helios was, or what she had thought when they met.
