“Dog toes are noisy, that’s the problem. Non-retractable. Plus I think she’s afraid she’ll get stepped on if she doesn’t make herself known. Bit like someone else I know.” Unsubtly, she poked him in the side.

“Well I am sprawled out on the floor,” Tony said, purposely missing the point.  “So getting stepped on could happen.  I mean, just look at this, someone fell over on top of me.”  He prodded her in the ribs.

That did it. She sat up a little bit, just enough to go looking for the ticklish spots. “Can’t help it,” she shot back, in between return prodding. “You lie like a rug.”

Summer objected, “They do not /lurk/ any more than your otter lurks. I strongly suspect there’s a cat pile somewhere in the sunlight. But I’m not getting up to find it. Ask Jarvis.”

“I never said the otter doesn’t lurk,” Tony replied, “but there’s only one of him, so he can’t lurk as much.”  A beat.  “Well, okay, maybe he can.  Never know with him.  No lurking for Sassy, though.  She’s kinda hopeless.”

“Raised by,” she replied, laughing a little. “Don’t say that around Loki, he might turn me into one, and there are enough around here.” She doodled nonsensical designs on his stomach with one hand.

“S’pose that explains a few things.  Speaking of,” he lifted his head to glance around, “where are the fluffy bastards?  There’s usually at least one around every corner.  Lurking.”

Summer objected, “They do not /lurk/ any more than your otter lurks. I strongly suspect there’s a cat pile somewhere in the sunlight. But I’m not getting up to find it. Ask Jarvis.”

It took her a moment to get settled. Usually she would rest her head in the middle of her human pillow’s chest, but lying on the arc reactor wasn’t really a comfortable proposition. She squirmed around a little until she was tucked happily into the various curves of his body, head nestled in the arc of his shoulder. “Warm,” she murmured, idly.

There was a bit more fidgeting from Tony, as he got comfortable (or at least more comfortable; full comfort would be difficult to achieve) on the floor.  “Occasionally, I’m pretty sure you’re a cat,” he commented, as he fiddled with a strand of her hair.

“Raised by,” she replied, laughing a little. “Don’t say that around Loki, he might turn me into one, and there are enough around here.” She doodled nonsensical designs on his stomach with one hand.

Summer made an unhappy sulky noise. “Fine. I demand cuddles, then, since I can’t go abuse people with adorable beanbags. Proper cuddles.”

“Will do.”  Sprawling out, he turned and curled his arms around her middle, pulling her along with him as he rolled onto his back once more, essentially draping her on top of him like a blanket.

*blinks at him* There’s another way you can help /besides/ admiring the view?

Insightful opinions, and a credit card.

I do have my own money, you know. But you may bring the insightful opinions. And clever fingers. *beckons with one finger*

*follows the beckoning finger*  Clever fingers to help you try on bathing suits?  Or to help get the bathing suit off?  *grins*

Oh, both. Definitely both. *stands on tiptoe to bestow a quick kiss, then pulls him along after*

She put her hand up to close her jaw. “Because one of them isn’t bad enough? Oh god. We definitely need to leave, before they just destroy everything. I’d rather face execs than more than one of Loki.”

“I don’t actually have any big meetings until next week,” he pointed out.  “So you’ll have to stockpile your beanie babies until then.”  He shrugged.  “And Raven’s kid isn’t that bad.  Bit like the hyperactive, accident-prone niece I never wanted.”

“Raven has a /WHAT/?!”

“He’s got a kid.  Like, seventeen or eighteen years old, from the looks.  Something about time not moving at the same speed on all planes of existence, or whatever.”
