Having one of those days where I watch all the people I follow, and their huge follower counts, and their many threads

and I just go, “Is this even worth it anymore? Mine is the thread that always disappears, and while I’m a brilliant writer nobody cares about that because my muse is a female OC and those are always Mary Sues.”

I think I might just quit. Nobody’s gonna care, anyway, if I do.

I have a growing intolerance for self hate. It seems lately all my partners are thinking of deleting for this reason or that reason and saying they feel useless. When I try to cheer them up they just complain more to me. And to be honest I’m sick to death of it. And you want to know why? Because telling me no one cares about you and that you feel worthless while I’m clearly trying to help you just makes me feel like some goddamn doormat! What am I, chopped liver? How dare you say no one cares when I’m right here in front of you? No good deed. And yeah, I know what you’re going to say, they’re hurting and I should be considerate to their feelings and everybody’s a little selfish sometimes. And I get that, and I never say any of this to them. But I’m allowed to be upset.

Threatening my muse (with death) because your muse is romantically involved with the muse my muse is flirting with is not cool. Your muse isn’t there, so stop being so jealous. If you’re that worried about losing your partner, maybe you should talk to them instead of taking it out on my (innocent) muse.

I would like to have someone new roleplay with me where they’ve read my info and realise that they can come to my muse already knowing her, or of her. That would be really nice.

I understand about singleverse players, and about characters reacting certain ways, and staying in character. But I’ve decided — if my muse goes out and says something absurd and probably sexual to your muse, and a third muse, who in one verse or another is romantically involved with your muse, threatens my muse — I’m going to drop you. Both of you, if I follow both of you. I’m choosing not to be involved with players whose muses react like that.
