Summer muses, “I wonder if I have any backless rhinestones? You could be sparkly then.”
“I don’t want to be sparkly,” he interjects quickly, taking a step away from her. “It’s bad enough already!”
“I thought it wasn’t so bad,” she giggles. “No sparklies? How about if I put sparklies on Butterfingers?”
He pauses for a beat. “…Yeah, sure. He’d probably appreciate it. Might to do You, too, though, or he’ll get jealous.”
“Jarvis? Should I be-sparkle your mainframe, too?” She’s laughing so hard she can hardly talk, or stand.

“You, sleep?” she teases. “I didn’t know you did. Maybe you can coax Loki to share the bed with the glow. I can’t sleep with that much light. Some nights,” she pokes at the arc reactor, faint under his shirt, “even this is too much.”
“I do sometimes,” he replies, feigning defensiveness. “You woke me up the other day, remember? Someone’s gotta be asleep to wake them up.” The entire time he speaks, he’s also distracted by the way the light shifts on the walls whenever he moves. “I look like I’m radioactive.”
“You’re not radioactive,” she says dryly. “Sparkly, though. Very sparkly.”
“I’m not sparkly,” he insists, remarkably unperturbed by the situation. He wasn’t going to go running around in public like this, but worse things had happened. “Shiny, yes, but no sparkly.”

“Oh, please. Weird things happen to you without anons having anything to do with it.” Musingly, “It’s not like Loki showing up had anything to do with greyfaces, or the number of alternate yous there are.”
“Those all seem less weird, in the face of my current condition,” he remarks, as he reaches out to wiggle the glowing fingers of one hand at her.
She puts her own hand up to touch his finger, inspecting her own fingertip afterward as if she expected his condition to be catching, or dangerous. “Seems harmless enough. Though you’ll be sleeping alone til this one wears off.”
He offers her a dramatic, comical pout and folds his arms over his chest as he slouches into an exaggerated sulk. “How’m I s’posed to sleep, then?” he wheedles, just shy of whining.

… so you have loki’s skin and you glow like the arc all over?
“That does seem to be the case, yeah.” He’s still standing in the relative-dark as he says it.
She just laughs and laughs. “What brought this on? Did you drink something weird? Weirder than usual?”
He snorts in slightly bitter amusement. “The same reason anything weird ever happens; an anon said ‘make it so.’”
