*squashed again* what the hell. Chelle. You are going to kill me. You, and Els, and apparently the Mordreds right now, and Morgana as well.

I request nor require anything of you ladies, other than permission to remain here, in the shadows.

Aww, sadness! We’re terribly curious — but as you wish. We’re glad you’re here, though.

“Sometimes she’s convinced that nobody except Elspeth actually cares that she’s here.”

And Chelle. Don’t forget Chelle.

“Oh, right. … I should go talk to Kay.”

You’re only interested because of his looks.

“No, I need someone to help me sneak around the castle and do nice things for Mordred.”

Ulterior motives.

“Always.”

wordlesswarlock replied to your post: My bathtub is full of cats. Why do you guys drink…

*struggling not to wake my roommate with my laughter*

You think I’m joking; liek three cats were perched on the rim of the damn garden tub, with me in it, drinking the water.

I just pictured you walking towards Mordred while aggressively dribbling a basketball…

I … don’t know that I can dribble a basketball that well.

Now I’m picturing you doing this but messing up the dribble and chasing after the ball.

There’s something wrong with me.

And then Mordred laughs at me, and I trip over my own feet. You’re so kind, Chelle.

Summer peers around the door, looking for Merlin. “Merlin, can I sit with you?” Her eyes are a little red; she seems tired.

Merlin shoves his spell book under his pillow in a panic and relaxes as he sees Summer in the doorway. He nods and gestures for her to come in. Are you alright? You seem a bit… off.

“Please?” she says pitifully. “Tell him I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt him — I love him, I do, Merlin, I can’t — ” She starts to cry in earnest, muffling sobs into her hands.

Merlin rubs his hand along her spine in an attempt to comfort her. It’s okay, Summer. This can be fixed. You’ll see. He smiles reassuringly. I’ll tell him that, and I’ll make sure to clear this up.

She nods, rubbing at her face. “Oh, Merlin, what am I going to do if I’ve screwed this up? He’s so … and the way he smiles … and his eyes … ” She buries her face in his shoulder and sobs into his green scarf.

He wraps his other arm around her and pulls her a bit closer. Summer, most people would take the news that the person they love loves them back as good news. I’m assuming Mordred will react similarly, and if he doesn’t, then he should at least try to understand if he feels for you the way you said he does.

“He looked so broken,” she whispers, turning to press her hot face against Merlin’s throat. “I couldn’t bear to lose him, Merlin. Please be right.”

Summer peers around the door, looking for Merlin. “Merlin, can I sit with you?” Her eyes are a little red; she seems tired.

She shakes her head, convulsively. “I can’t. I can’t do that. I sent — I sent to ask if he, if I could see him this morning, and he — there was no answer. Nothing at all. I can’t — maybe … would you — ?”

Do you want me to go talk to him? he half-asks, half-offers. He doesn’t know if he’ll be able to do much, but if that’s what Summer is asking of him, he’s willing to try.

“Please?” she says pitifully. “Tell him I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt him — I love him, I do, Merlin, I can’t — ” She starts to cry in earnest, muffling sobs into her hands.
