i-am-the-firechild started following you
Greetings.
Ohai there. What’s up, monster wolf?
Very little is ‘up’ as you put it. The night drags on slowly for me.
What would help with that?

Greetings.
Ohai there. What’s up, monster wolf?
It would not be fair in the least to take advantage of you in this state. I think I mentioned before something about you not regretting, later?
I don’t even remember when I wake up. But the people sure do.
That just makes me more determined not to take advantage of you. Come on, Steve, sit down.
“As I recall, we got more than a little sidetracked last time.” Summer folded her arms and glared at him. “Interesting that you’re this upset about it, though. You do know cats have short lifespans compared to humans, right?”
“Of course I’m upset,” Loki snapped. ”He’s Cat and I thought I had hurt him!” He stopped and gave her a very hard look. ”Why mention that? He is naught but a kitten.”
Summer smacked herself in the forehead. “A little something about you not caring, I think it was. I’m just saying, if you’re this upset because you accidentally got him stoned — oh, never mind. Just never mind. Look, he’s fine. He’s very happy right now, and in a couple hours it will wear off, and you should try to give him a smaller dose next time.” She sighed. “Why in the world is the only thing that gets you wound up a /cat/?”
“I never said I didn’t care!” Loki fumed, “As I recall, that was a conclusion you drew yourself. I didn’t GIVE him the dose, he climbed up on the cabinets and ate the whole bloody bag!”
“You work pretty hard to push people to that conclusion, Loki. Liemaster,” Summer drawled. “How’s that working out, that lying to yourself bit?” She ignored his tale of Cat’s antics. Cats did that. Generally speaking, they knew their own limits. Loki, apparently, didn’t.
“I just said, /ask/.” Summer arched an eyebrow at Loki, face stern, before stroking Cat’s furry belly. “Bless his wee bones, he’s fine. He’s just verrrrry happy right now. Yes, silly Cat, your papa is all wound up over nothing.” She tried to blow a raspberry on the black belly and ended up snorting fur instead, giggling.
Nestling the relaxed Cat into the pile of pillows, she said, “Catnip affects different cats differently; it’s like liquor to humans that way. Some cats get hyper on it, like Doc; other cats get very relaxed. Stormlight gets chatty.”
Hearing her name, the tiny tortoiseshell darted up, inspected Loki’s shoes, then padded over to inspect Cat. Her tail began to wave gently, and she started to wash his ears.
“You might have warned me.” Loki said crossly. ”I thought I’d killed him! Do all ‘cat treats’ produce such alarming effects?”
“As I recall, we got more than a little sidetracked last time.” Summer folded her arms and glared at him. “Interesting that you’re this upset about it, though. You do know cats have short lifespans compared to humans, right?”

“No, just insane,” Summer replied, grinning back. “I should just make you list all the famous people you know and be done with it, then tag along on one of your days just so I can say I laid eyes on them all.”
She looked out at the street, a little amazed. One random e-mail, and somehow things turned right around. Okay, so maybe Loki wasn’t the safest friend to have, all touch-me-not and distant, and Jane was often busy with her research, but it was a far cry better than when she’d first come here, alone and empty and hurting.
“I really don’t know that many. I just happen to know one famous person who works really closely with a ton of other famous people,” Jane said, and grinned. “I don’t know any movie stars or models or anything. I just know super heroes.”
Even that was nuts, though. If she had been told three years ago that she’d know all of these people, she would have just laughed, because it was completely ridiculous. “But seriously, I’d be happy to introduce you to at least Thor, Tony, and Pepper. They’re the ones I’m closest to.” She thought for a moment. “And Johnny Storm, I guess. He’d like you.” She smirked. “He’d probably really like you. You’re both really hot.” Literally.
“The next pertinent question is: when? I’ve got all the free time in the world.” Summer folded her hands under her chin and contrived to look innocent.
Jane shrugged. “Whenever, pretty much,” she said. “Well, at least, I can’t introduce you to Johnny whenever he’s available. And Charles.. I need to hunt him down first, but he’s probably not too busy. Thor is dealing with something with his family at the moment, I think, but he’s always around, otherwise. We’ll figure something out.”
((time to lure get-your-flame-on in here?))
“A telepath,” Summer mused. “Interesti—Charles. A telepath named Charles. /You/ know Professor X?!” She laid her head down on the table. “I must have done something wrong in my life, all the good stuff fell to you.”
Jane laughed and shook her head. “You didn’t do anything wrong! I just… it happens to be a lot of strange coincidences,” she said, shrugging. “But honestly, I’ll introduce the two of you. He’s amazing, he really is, and he’s always eager to learn more about anyone and anything.” She smiled. “He’d probably say that you’re fascinating.”
“No, just insane,” Summer replied, grinning back. “I should just make you list all the famous people you know and be done with it, then tag along on one of your days just so I can say I laid eyes on them all.”

Summer couldn’t help but laugh at that. “And there’s a thing I can’t argue with.” She toyed with her glass for a moment, spinning it in circles. “Not that I actually have a whole lot to do today, but I don’t want to just take up your time for no reason. Err, maybe some day you could introduce me to some of your friends here?”
Jane smiled. “Sure I could. I don’t have a lot of friends, but…” She shrugged, and chuckled. “You could meet Pepper, definitely. And Thor, obviously. And Darcy, too. She was my intern back in New Mexico, and I know she was living here for a little while, at least.” Darcy and Summer would get along really well. “And Charles, too, if I can track him down again at some point.” Something occurred to her. “Actually, you and Charles would get along really well. He’s a telepath.” She grinned. “And he’s incredibly friendly.”
“A telepath,” Summer mused. “Interesti—Charles. A telepath named Charles. /You/ know Professor X?!” She laid her head down on the table. “I must have done something wrong in my life, all the good stuff fell to you.”

Kay, that’s me caught up …
Waiting on janelikesfosters, liesmith-loki, chaosmustbemaintained, and lokilaufeyyson. Wheee!
Aries: Aries are generally very innocent creatures. There are two sides to their inner world: a world full of hate and a world full of love. They can understand other’s problems quite easily.
Taurus: Taureans do not forget past injustices, and they also remember their past pain as well— and will remind you of it. The tragedy with a Taurus is that their pain is just as fresh today as it was the first time.
Gemini: One Gemini girl equals several women. Though they suffer alone, Geminis will always try to look optimistic and happy in front of others. There is intelligence underneath the scatteredness.
Cancer: Life doesn’t stand still for this sign, even if they remain in one place. Their link with the Moon often makes it impossible for them to operate on an even keel from day to day – emotions are unsteady, unstable;
Leo: It is easy to crush them with coolness. It takes much courage and energy to radiate so much, and they need lots of love and smiles from others to keep it going.
Virgo: In times of distress Virgos tend to become very unnatural, so they confine themselves in their own world and ignore the people around them. Virgos are well-aware of the coldness they’re portraying to others during these moments, yet they are unable to change or control their mood so they choose to hide in their bubble.
Libra: Libras are always trying to control their emotions and are very capable of keeping feelings in check. They often feel alienated from their own heart because they have distanced themselves from their inner world
Scorpio: Scorpio have their natural defences up. They see the world is a dark place and are simply protecting themselves. They have trouble managing their intense emotions.
Sagittarius: They will portray a very independent and happy image, seemingly unaffected by their unfortunate situations. Seeing their optimism, others may think that they are indifferent, as Sagittarius will never show how much they are suffering.
Capricorn: Capricorns rarely feel that they are accurately portrayed by their star sign definition. While it is true they put themselves to work, have a determination to succeed, and possess much strength inside a caring heart – it is hard for any of the other sides to grasp the complexities going on in their minds; they can’t explain it. and even if they could – we wouldn’t understand it.
Aquarius: Aquarius feel very helpless when they realize that they’ve grown emotional towards a person. It’s the only thing that makes them lose their rationality and they become lost in the feeling.
Pisces: Being kind is their preferred way of life since it is adaptive, effortless and gains them respect easily from others. They understand this very well, so they use compassion to deal with most situations.
