“I wish I believed you.” Summer flopped back down on the floor. “Some of them mean well, and don’t make any effort to make that translate into the real world, or even to find out how it might translate into the real world.  And a lot of them just don’t give a damn, Tony, and that’s worse than the shit our actual enemies try to pull.”

Tony arched one eyebrow.  “You’ve gone and made play time all serious.”  He gave a lock of her hair a tug.  “While I get where you’re coming from, I’m not sure that the psycho with the electric whips takes a backseat to a boardroom of guys who don’t give a damn.  Or the death fetishist that, you know…kidnapped you.”  He waved it off.  “But most of the ones I affiliate with more often aren’t so bad.  Green energy.  Giving at least a small damn is sort of a prerequisite.  I just like to whine about them.  It’s a business thing; we like each other because we hate each other.”

She wasn’t going to let him off the hook that easily. “What about Justin Hammer?”
