Vex’s eyes narrowed as she teased him, letting her finish the string of cat jokes before he bothered to speak up. “Oh would you knock it off,” he huffed, nudging her cheek with his nose before kissing her, trying to get away from the catboy conversation.
She started to say ‘make me,’ but it was muffled by the kiss. Her eyes fluttered closed, and she made a quiet sound of pleasure before kissing him back more deeply. After a moment, she said, “Is that how you want to be entertained then, darling madman?”
As they pulled away from each other, the feline-Vex smiled at her and nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. “Not necessarily,” he told her with a sigh of contentment, “Just wanted your attention on me instead of the fact that I’m a cat.”
“Oh, for — !” Summer shook her head, half-laughing. “You can be such an idiot, Vex.” She scraped her fingers through his hair again. “Just how am I supposed to amuse you then? Dance, sing, tell stories, tickle you?”
