“I’m gonna kill you,” she growled. “I’m gonna kill you and then get Loki to resurrect you so I can do it again. You did that on purpose. I hate you.” She disdained to respond to his question, deciding it was beneath her notice. There would be words with Jarvis later about private communications. She dropped to Tony’s level at a more sedate pace and levelled a fireball at his chest.

“The suit’s active, and you know I’ve had worse drops on purpose,” he pointed out.  Tony twisted aside, one shoulder taking part of the fireball, but coming out unscathed.  He sounded equal parts amused, exasperated, and perplexed as he asked, “Seriously, how did you think I tested these things?  Lock them in a box and hit buttons until a light turns green?”

“Not by /dropping/ out of the /sky/. In /front/ of me.” Shaping a bird, vaguely sparrow-like, out of fire, she perched it on top of the helmet and made it bend down to peck at the eyepieces. “I think you took a year off my life. I really object to the daredevil stunts in front of me while you’re testing.”
