“Oooh!” She laughed merrily, leaning back in his arms a little. Rubbing their noses together, she murmured, “Oh, I thought you had a plan for that. You had plans for the whole day, didn’t you?” 

“I can’t plan everything — while it’s fun for me and surprising for you, I want you to make some decisions too, Summer.” He beamed and pressed a sweet kiss to the tip of her nose, curling his fingers under her thighs to hold her upright.

She locked her ankles around his waist and her arms more tightly around his neck. “/I/ think you should let me down and we should get out the blankets. And then,” she whispers, biting at her lip, “you should teach me how to make you feel good. Like you do me.”
