“Hey. Hey, hon, you need to wake up now.”
[ Her voice was soft, and she brushed her hand against his shoulder. The boy was clearly exhausted, but if he didn’t wake up he might get locked in. She’d just come by the school to see about borrowing a book from the library that the university didn’t have, but she couldn’t just leave him there like that. ]
“Come on, chiyu, wake up.”
He truly didn’t mean to fall asleep. He started off
studying for chemistry, which he was failing, and
some how ended up in this position; tousled up in
his own limbs and cardigan and snoring ever so
softly. The female voice woke him up pretty quick
and he picked his head up, looking around in a
dazed state until he spotted the red head.”Oh, right.” He cleared his throat and
sat up straighter. “Thanks.”
“Sure thing. Um, I think the buses have already left? I think you slept through the bell, and your friends seem to have left you here.”
He was kind of cute, all rumpled by sleep and very young-looking. She wrapped her arms around her book and swayed side to side a bit, considering offering him a ride home. Of course, very few kids trusted strangers, so he’d probably say no, but she would feel bad if she didn’t at least offer.
“Do you need a lift home?”
