Summer giggled, clutching the bailey’s ice cream to her chest. “Nope! Nope nope nope, you’re cut off and this is mine now!”
“Gwaine’s not here and you are.” Summer fished the spoon out from underneath herself and opened up the pint. “My alcoholic ice cream now.”
“At least let me have a taste.” Tony leaned forward ever so slightly with his elbow planted firmly on the surface of her kitchen bench. Why he was even in her flat, he has no idea.
“That,” she said, shaking the spoon at him, “is exactly why I took it from you, because you have had a taste and a taste and a taste and now there’s hardly any left! Also I think it made you drunk.”
“Random? What fucking random?! You’re in love with each other. You’re hardly out of each other’s pockets, just make it official already.”
“It’d come out of nowhere. We haven’t even talked about moving in with each other in the past.”
“What, you’re afraid he’ll turn you down? Don’t be absurd.” Summer gave Merlin a very sceptical look. “You’re both being idiots. Just move in together — you don’t even have to share a bedroom if you don’t want.”
”Alright, so – if I don’t get a new flatmate by next month, I won’t be able to pay my rent, which means I’ll get kicked out and then I’ll have to move to the other side of London for something cheaper; might even have to move back to Glasgow.
Basically – I should probably start packing my stuff.”
“Just ask Mordred to move in with you.” Summer shrugged. “Arthur’s stupid to be leaving anyway.”
Merlin tossed his phone to the side and made his way out of the flat and to Summer’s, stepping over a cat along the way. “I’m here!” He exclaimed, poking his head into the girl’s apartment.
Summer wobbled on top of her desk chair, coils of lights draped all over her. “Um. Help?” A handful of sticky-backed clips fell to the floor.
