A low, possessive growl came from him. “Are you sure, Summer?”
Sweetly, she told him, “If you ignore my safeword, I’ll light you on fire. I’m sure. Come play.” She backed up another step.
Victor chuckled at her fire quip. “I just want to make sure you trust me.” He murmured before stepping forward, with a mind to corner her against the wall. His whole demeanor changed and he let the predator aspect in him come out entirely. Only the outermost edge of his eyes were honey brown and he let his fangs elongate. “And just where do you think you’re going, Summer?”
She glanced over her shoulder. Nowhere to go. “To the bed,” she murmured. “Because I trust you. I can look right inside your soul, darlin’, and see right to the bottom of it.” She looked him in the eyes, challenging.
He smirked a little at the challenge in her eyes, enjoying it. His fangs flashed in the light a little. “We’ll go to the bed when I’m good and ready to go there. Right now, I want you another way.” He pressed her against the wall and grazed his fangs over her skin, not breaking the skin but applying just enough pressure to make them noticeable.
She shuddered, a little fear stroking up her spine. “What way is that?”
