“I do not forget,” she said stiffly. “But you had no right. To come here and expect our customs to align with yours, no right at all. I do not forget your history, and I do not forget your actions.”

“I know. Mortals tend to not forget anything that causes devastation to a country.” He let out a sigh and smirked. “I do not ask for your forgiveness nor do I care if I get it. What’s done is done. Nothing you do will change the past. The best thing to do is move forward and get on with your life.”

“Who said anything about forgiveness? Or changing the past? I’m interested in changing the future, and that means making sure you or someone like you can never do that again.”

“Even if they had,” she snapped, “You /killed/ /Coulson/. Death isn’t /casual/ here, trickster god. And as far as I can tell, you don’t even have any regret for what you did then.”

“I killed him because he stood in my way. If he didn’t he’d still be alive. I did what I had to do. There are always casualties in everything! You’re forgetting that I come from a place were deaths in battle are not cared for at all. Even if it is done in an act of war,” he retorted back. “I don’t regret my actions and I have learnt from my mistakes. I do not plan to bring harm to Midgard for a while.

“I do not forget,” she said stiffly. “But you had no right. To come here and expect our customs to align with yours, no right at all. I do not forget your history, and I do not forget your actions.”

“There are a lot of people around here with a reason not to like you. Some of them are my /friends/.”

“Name a few for me then. I’m curious to know who doesn’t like me.”

She laughed in his face. “Try about half of SHIELD. You can’t mindcontrol the lot of them and expect to be liked, you idiot.”

He stayed silent for a moment. “I thought most of them died.”

“Even if they had,” she snapped, “You /killed/ /Coulson/. Death isn’t /casual/ here, trickster god. And as far as I can tell, you don’t even have any regret for what you did then.”

“Are you sure? Do you want to take the risk of knowing what has been enslaved in the darkness for so long? Only with no regret can I come back.”

“It — it doesn’t matter.” She can’t identify /anything/ about the voice. Nothing at all except an obscure sort of pain, that this person should think that they’ve gone so far they can’t come back. Her own voice strengthens. “You won’t hurt me.”

A pool of darkness slowly began to form in front of Summer, and a figure emerged covered in a black slime that started to melt away, revealing familiar blood red hair, and the so familiar brown right eye and bright green left eye.

“Hi Summer.”

Summer shrieked and flung herself at the figure, laughing and sobbing. “Marie, oh Marie, Marie.” She hugged the other girl, face buried in her shoulder, all but squeezing the breath out of her.

Marie blinked before laughing softly and softly petting the top of her older sister’s hair, “Well if I didn’t know any better I would say I was missed.”

“You — you —” Summer spluttered, drawing back to hit Marie gently with a fist, “You little /shit/! You just, you just disappeared. Oh my god, you just fucking disappeared and I didn’t even know where to start to look, anything.” She held Marie off by the shoulders, looking her over, then shook her. “Don’t you ever do that to me again!”

“Yea well I have always had a habit of disappearing, sorry love.”

With a smile she pulled Summer close and hugged her. ”Don’t worry I don’t have to go back any time soon, this is kinda a vacation of sorts.”

“Ba—back?! Back where?” Summer clung to Marie. “No. You’re staying here. I move out of the apartment a year ago but we’ll find you something.”

She raised both brows at him. “Is that because you cheat? Because I don’t know that Barton likes you that much right now.”

“I don’t cheat. I rarely do. I see an opportunity for something then I take it.” He’s silent as a moment as he looks at her. “Okay..Everyone bar Barton and the people I mind controlled.”

“There are a lot of people around here with a reason not to like you. Some of them are my /friends/.”

“Sometimes the trick is that there isn’t a trick, so that there can be a trick next time.” She paused and added, “Ow.”

He can’t help but laugh. “You caught me. I planned to trick you next time.” The God raised a brow at her.

Summer narrowed her eyes at him. “Stop making me like you. I don’t want to like you.”

Loki gasped and placed a hand to his chest in a mocking manner. “I’m hurt in how you don’t want to like me. Everyone likes me… Eventually.”

She raised both brows at him. “Is that because you cheat? Because I don’t know that Barton likes you that much right now.”

“You think so?”

“You,” she says against his throat, “need to learn to take my time with some things. I know it’s /agonisingly/ slow for you, but really.” She bites his earlobe, gently, and kisses her way back down to his collarbone. “You could be teasing too.”

Pietro nodded as his finger traced down her back, vibrating it softly as he moved it up her neck. “Well would help to have more room to work.”

“Is that so?” Lifting both eyebrows to go along with the arch tone, Summer pushes herself up to pull her shirt over her head, shaking out her hair. “Better?”

Pietro nodded and flipped them over in a blur, his moving up her body as it vibrated. “Much better.”

Threading her fingers into his hair, Summer tugged. “I hate it when you don’t warn me. What did I /just/ say about taking time?” Wrapping her legs around his waist, she pinned him down.
