Setting the glass down, Summer put her hands in her pockets and walked over to stand beside his knees. Slowly, she said, “I’m going to trust you, but I know you aren’t telling me the whole truth, either.” Looking down into his blue eyes (not very far down, why was this town full of tall guys?), she went on, “I don’t know who it is yet. If I did, I would do something about it. Right now, I just know I’m in danger. They stopped following two or three streets back, but my apartment is on the other side of town.”
Watching her, he knew he wasn’t but he didn’t care that much. “Right… But why are they after you?” He questioned tilting his head to the side slightly. There was lots of reasons why probably but he wanted to know. Call him nosey but he did just save her.
“I don’t even know who they are, and you think I know /why/?” She could make an informed guess or two, but given what she was and what she could do — there were too many possibilities to narrow it down much. “Let’s just say, Mr Hero, that I am not a safe person.”
You don’t need to worry about replying to me anymore. I know you would rather be replying to other people, and when I turn up in your askbox it’s just annoying. There’s always someone else you would rather be writing with than me. I’m sorry I hurt you. I’m sorry I make you lose your muse. I won’t be bothering you anymore.
“U-huh.” He was clearly lying, but it wasn’t worth pursuing at the moment. “Thanks.” Wrapping both hands around the glass, she sipped slowly, watching him over the rim. He barely seemed to be out of breath. “So this is your home? Why is it safe here?”
Isaac shook his head. “No, well uh yes. -Ish. Because it is… Trust me.” No other house could be more secure than this one. “Who’s, after you?”

Summer couldn’t stop the yelp that escaped her when he picked her up, never seeming to break stride. She locked her arms around his neck and held on until he was putting her down in someone’s front hall — his, if the keys were any indication. Thoughtlessly, dragging in deep breaths, she exclaimed, “What the hell are you? You left them in the dust, while you were /carrying/ me!”
Isaac walked into the living room leading the way for her, before disappearing to fetch her some water. Returning with it and handing it over to her. He soon took a seat feet shifting on the floor awkwardly as he thought of the answer to her question. “I-I’m just fast,” he lied.

“I don’t — think I can — run much — farther.” Every couple words was punctuated with a gasp, and the burn of her muscles was overwhelming her ability to track the person chasing her. Whomever it was, they didn’t know the town as well as this guy did, because she could tell they’d fallen behind.
Isaac didn’t think; he just scooped her up and ran the rest of the way until they reached Scott’s front door. Pulling out his keys
yes he did now have keys to their househe opened it and took her in, placing her down onto her feet before closing the door.

Damn, his legs were long! She had to stretch herself to keep up, panting, constantly shoving hair out of her face. “Where — are we — going?”
Scott’s place was the only thing he could think of. Take her there then she had two werewolves looking after her. “Don’t ask just follow.”

“Yeah, okay, fine. Please be right, please be right.” Summer scrambled after him.
“I am. Don’t worry.” Isaac spoke as he moved, keeping his senses high so that if he heard anyone else but them two he’d know.

“What safety? I’m not safe — there’s nowhere safe. You shouldn’t — don’t help me, I can’t be responsible for your death too.” She’s babbling.
“Follow me, I’ll show you. They can’t kill me, I’d like to see them try.”
“Yeah, okay, fine. Please be right, please be right.” Summer scrambled after him.
“I think something is chasing me … “
“What?… Uh okay… Well, we um, need to get you to safety.”
