She snapped her teeth at the retreating finger. “You are really mean, Tony.” She made an even more exaggerated pout, then sighed. “I just wish there was something I could actually do about that kind of thing, you know?”

“Says the crazy lady who just tried to bite me,” he sulked in return, folding his arms over his chest.  “Anyway, I’m not sure there’s really that much to do.  Boring and pretentious aside, a lot of them do mean well enough.”

“I wish I believed you.” Summer flopped back down on the floor. “Some of them mean well, and don’t make any effort to make that translate into the real world, or even to find out how it might translate into the real world.  And a lot of them just don’t give a damn, Tony, and that’s worse than the shit our actual enemies try to pull.”
